The NBA’s trade moratorium ends Monday at noon, and we already have the first Woj Bomb for the Nets. No, it’s not Harden (yet), but, according to Woj, Brooklyn is trading Dzanan Musa and a 2021 second-round pick to the Detroit Pistons for combo guard Bruce Brown.

Per Nets Daily’s Chris Milholen, the deal saves the Nets $400K, as Musa will make $2 million this year while Brown is at a non-guaranteed $1.6 million. Also, the pick being sent to Detroit is the pick Brooklyn acquired in the Feb. 2019 trade that brought Greg Monroe, who was immediately waived, from Toronto.

Brown was the 42nd pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Miami, and has played in 132 games for the Pistons, averaging 6.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 23.4 minutes per game. He is well-regarded for his defense, considered by some outlets in Detroit to have been the best perimeter defender on the Pistons’ roster.

Musa was the 29th pick in that same 2018 NBA Draft and played in 49 games with the Nets, averaging 4.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 10.7 minutes per game.
