Ben Simmons hasn’t played since Feb. 15 due to lingering knee soreness, but the Nets, as recently as Thursday night, have maintained that the hope is for the oft-injured Simmons to return to play at some point this season, even with the schedule coming down the home stretch.
For Sal Licata, Simmons’ latest extended absence is another piece of evidence that he is softer than any athlete we’ve ever seen.
“He might be the softest athlete of all time, and that’s saying something,” Sal said. “He doesn’t want to get on the floor.”
Sal added that Simmons’ softness is apparent even when he is on the court.
“He is the worst, man,” Sal said. “He doesn’t want to play. He’s a basketball player and he’s afraid to shoot the basketball! Come on!”
