Everything old is new again, and retro is cooler than the future…and the NHL is cashing in.
All 31 teams unveiled their "Reverse Retro" jerseys for the 2021 NHL season, and the Tri-State Area is bringing back some classics.
For the Rangers, the new jersey is the old third jersey from WHEN, the dark blues featuring Lady Liberty that the team used from 1996-2007:
For the Islanders, it's not the fisherman as some people hoped (and were angry about not seeing), but instead, just a darker version of the 1998-2008 jerseys:
And, in New Jersey, the new jersey is basically a flipped version of their inaugural threads:

Perhaps the best news for logo lovers, though, comes from Carolina, where the Hurricanes are bringing back that other team from the Tri-State…
