NHL teams have released their schedules for the 2021-22 season, so we now know when the first game at UBS Arena will be: Saturday, Nov. 20, when the Islanders host Calgary.

That game will be the 14th of the Isles’ season, as they will open with 13 straight on the road (starting on Oct. 14 in Carolina) before christening the UBS Arena the weekend before Thanksgiving – and they will close the regular-season at the new barn with the Tampa Bay Lightning, whose second of two visits to Belmont will come in the season-finale on April 28.

Of the other locals, the Rangers open their season on the road, playing in Washington on October 13, and their home opener is the next night against Dallas. Meanwhile, the Devils open their season with a four-game home stand, kicking off the campaign on Oct. 15 against the Blackhawks, and their second home game will be the area’s first chance to get a look at the new Seattle Kraken, who come to The Rock on Oct. 19.

Among other notables:

-The Rangers make their first visit to UBS Arena on Nov. 24, and the Devils do so on Dec. 11

-The Kraken get crackin’ for the first time against the Devils on 10/19, the Rangers on 10/31 in Seattle, and the Isles on Jan. 4 in Seattle – with the Kraken’s first trip to New York proper a back-to-back at UBS Arena on Jan. 29 and MSG on Jan. 30
