Boomer was happy with the way his Rangers played in game one at The Garden, but as for the performance of the officiating, that was a different story.
"The refereeing in this game was horrific. Absolutely horrific," Boomer said. "Kelly Sutherland is the new Angel Hernandez.
"That first call on Matt Rempe was BS. We all know it…he did not hit the guy in the back. He hit him on the side, and the puck was right there."
Still, the Rangers won easily, and even Boomer didn't have much concerns to vent about when it came to the team itself.
"Be that as it may, they won, they dominated the game," Boomer said. "And they looked great doing it."
