After being ripped for being a “dirty” player and told his team should cut ties, Rangers captain Jacob Trouba fired back at the popular Spittin’ Chiclets podcast guest Pasha Eshghi on Wednesday, pointing to suicide rates and the tragic death of PGA pro Grayson Murray, who took his own life just weeks ago.
Trouba’s reponse shed further light on the podcast episode, and led Boomer to call out Eshgi (a Devils fan) after the hosts of the pod also ripped him for his comments.
“They were playing the dirtiest team in the league in the Florida Panthers,” Boomer said. “Maybe Pascha doesn’t understand when you’re out on the ice and playing against a team that is trying to impose their will on you and doing it in any way possible, somebody has to fight back and give it back to the other team.
“This is 100 percent crossing the line. The fact that you now tell me he is a Devils fan, it makes it worse.”
