A caller told Boomer he doesn’t trust Chris Kreider in the playoffs, convinced that he consistently disappears in the postseason.

Boomer disagreed, to say the least.

“He’s got 64 points in the playoffs, and 40 goals,” Boomer said. “He plays on the top scoring line.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of him since he came out of Boston College…he’s turned out to be a great Ranger. He plays in a lot of games, he’s very rarely missing games.”

Kreider played a big role in the Rangers’ run to the Conference Final two years ago, and helped keep New York’s season alive in game six against the Devils last season before falling in a decisive game seven. His +22 so far this season would be the second-highest mark of his career, and Boomer says Kreider will be a key cog in a potential Blueshirts playoff run.

“I’ll take Chris Kreider on my team any time,” Boomer said.
