BT & Sal have much different concern levels after Rangers drop game four

After the Rangers fell to the Panthers in overtime in game four to send the series back to Madison Square Garden tied 2-2, what should the concern level be heading into a crucial game five?

BT and Sal couldn't be on more opposite ends of opinion when it comes to their worry about the Blueshirts.

"Watching this series, it doesn't feel very secure…the Rangers are in trouble," BT said. "They don't look like a Stanley Cup champion right now. They've played four games, and Florida looks demonstrably better…their margin for error, with Shesterkin playing at this level, is barely visible."

BT believes the Rangers are headed for an exit in the Eastern Conference Final, but Sal isn't worried, noting the difference maker in net in Igor Shesterkin, the power play showing signs of life in game four, and the Panthers needing a power play overtime goal to avoid a 3-1 series deficit.

"I'm not worried at all," Sal said. "The Panthers had to win the game, and they did. Is it frustrating that the Rangers missed an opportunity? They did…but Florida is a good team and they had to win. If you told me the series would be 2-2 heading into game five, I would have expected it. I think the Rangers are still in a good spot because of Shesterkin…he's gonna give them a great chance.

"They don't need their stars to do superstar things every single game…I'm confident. It's a tough loss. It happens. It's taken everything Florida has had to barely beat the Rangers, and even when they outplayed them, they couldn't beat them."
