BT goes off on Rangers 'inexcusable' effort in game five
BT began Tuesday's show by sounding off on the Rangers and their disastrous third period on Monday night, which led to a second straight loss and send the series to a game six in Raleigh on Thursday.
"What in the world was that at the Garden last night?" BT said. "That was a team that's supposed to be ready to win a Stanley Cup that didn't really step on the ice.
"Where was the energy? Where was the combativeness? This team was an absolute train wreck. Now they've got themselves a whole new series."
The Rangers allowed three quick goals in the third period after striking first in game five, and suddenly, their commanding 3-0 series lead is down to 3-2 after failing to clinch in their own building.
"That's inexcusable, unacceptable, and not emblematic of a team that is trying to win a Stanley Cup," BT said.
