C-Mac: It's now Stanley Cup or bust for Rangers
The Rangers clinched the Presidents' Trophy on Monday night with a blowout win over the Senators, and C-Mac, after applauding the Blueshirts for an all-time great regular season, said now the real work starts.
"Make no mistake. You can say whatever you want…they are the best team in hockey," C-Mac said. "They won the most games, they finished with the most points, and there is nothing else to do but win this damn Cup.
"It's time to go out there and freaking take this thing, because they are good enough to do it."
C-Mac points to Artemi Panarin and Igor Shesterkin as the two that need to step up the most to finally get the Rangers to the top of the mountain, and if this postseason run doesn't result in a Cup, the season will be a disappointment.
"It's time to wash the taste of last year's horrendous series when they were up 2-0 Devils and blew it," C-Mac said. "They are the best team. They've shown it all year long."
