Another game, another Jacob Trouba controversy.
The Rangers defenseman was once again under the microscope during game six after he laid a heavy hit into Tampa’s Corey Perry, who later went to the locker room after the hit. Trouba didn’t appear to lift his elbow or leave his feet, but Perry never had the puck, leaving many to clamor for an interference call, while others considered it the latest dirty hit from Trouba in a postseason full of them.

Trouba’s high hit on Sidney Crosby in the first round resulted in a concussion, and a high hit on Max Domi came against the Hurricanes after Domi’s late hit on Ryan Lindgren after a win in game three. Earlier in this series, Trouba nearly laid a heavy hit on Ondrej Palat, but Palat evaded the contact just in time, as Trouba appeared to be extending his elbow before the attempted hit.
