The 2021-22 NHL season just ended Sunday night – so who's ready for New York Rangers preseason hockey?
The Blueshirts released their preseason schedule on Monday, and they will play five of their six exhibitions in the area. Only three teams are on the slate, playing twice each, with a pair of back-to-backs and four games in five days.
The full schedule, with all games starting at 7 p.m.:
Sept. 26 vs. Islanders
Sept. 27 at Bruins
Sept. 29 vs. Devils
Sept. 30 at Devils
Oct. 5 vs. Bruins
Oct. 8 at Islanders
Between now and then, the Rangers will have a lot of work to do on their roster, as eight players who were key contributors to this season's run to the Eastern Conference Finals will hit either restricted or unrestricted free agency.
