Patrick Kane has lit the lamp for the first time as a member of the New York Rangers.
Kane, one of the splashiest trade acquisitions in the NHL before this year's deadline, put home a power play goal late in the second period on Thursday night against the Canadiens in Montreal to tie the game in an eventual shootout win for the Blueshirts.

Kane, off a feed by Jacob Trouba, wandered above the left circle and fired a shot inside the far post, and followed with a spirited celebration, likely rooted in relief after a miscue earlier in the period by Kane resulted in a Canadiens goal.
It was also Kane's first win as a Ranger, one New York desperately needed against a struggling Montreal squad.
