The Rangers, winners of seven in a row while setting a franchise record with 17 wins through their first 24 games, are currently the hottest team in the NHL.
According to Forbes' latest team value rankings, they are also the league's most valuable.
Per Forbes' annual release, New York is not only the highest-valued franchise in the NHL, it is also the first team in league history to reach a financial value of $2 billion, as the Rangers increased in value by 21 percent over the last year, recovering nicely from the pandemic-shortened season, when the NHL experienced a league-wide drop in revenue, but has collectively rebounded with a 32 percent boost over the last year.
The Rangers, now the most valuable NHL franchise for the past seven years, were trailed by the Maple Leafs, who are valued at $1.8 billion.
The Islanders are 10th on the list with a value of $950 million, while the Devils are ranked 15th with a value of $775 million.
