John Tortorella is the new head coach of the Flyers, and one of his former players is now praying for the best for the fiery head coach’s new team.

Brandon Dubinsky, who played for Tortorella with the Rangers and Blue Jackets, four seasons at each stop, tweeted out a prayer emoji for the Flyers players when it was reported that Tortorella was taking over the Flyers, which was later confirmed by the team.

Dubinsky once told The Athletic that his relationship with Tortorella was “a s--tshow” recalling that the two didn’t get along and that Dubinsky didn’t agree with the decisions Tortorella was making.

Tortorella has been a polarizing figure in the NHL, a Stanley Cup winner known for clashing with some of his players. Dubinsky was clearly one of them.
