The puck hadn’t dropped to begin game six, but Rangers fans were already rioting on social media.
Kaapo Kakko, part of the Kid Line that helped lead the Blueshirts to a 2-0 series lead, has been scratched from Gerard Gallant’s lineup after the head coach teased that changes to the lineup could be coming with New York looking to once again fight off elimination.

The Kid Line hasn’t been nearly as efficient of late, and played less than eight minutes in a game five loss, a defeat in which the Rangers once again failed to generate much offense after dizzying Andrei Vasilevskiy in the first two games of the series.
Kakko played just over 10 minutes on Thursday, and the 21-year-old has only five points in 19 playoff games, but was part of a young trio alongside Filip Chytil and Alexis Lafreniere that was making noise in the postseason until recently. Gallant thought it was time for a change, but many Rangers fans strongly disagreed.
