Rangers head coach Gerard Gallant noted a stat he saw on Thursday that highlighted how the Lightning haven't lost two games in a row in the playoffs in their last 17 tries, and that ticked Boomer off during Friday's show.
"There's always some stat that is out there that always goes against the Rangers," Boomer said. "I don't know where this stuff emanates from. I just assume it's from Toronto. They hate us up there. they can't state the Rangers success.
"Now it's, 'Oh, the Lightning are 17-0 after a loss.' It was 'You can't win in Carolina, you can't come back from 3-1,' I'm sick of it."
According to Boomer, the Screw the Rangers button is once again in full effect, and he doesn't want to hear any more of it as his Blueshirts look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead on Friday night.
"Shut up!" Boomer said of the anti-Rangers stats. "I can't take it anymore!"
