Rangers fans are still buzzing from their team's dramatic comeback win over the Islanders at Sunday's Stadium Series thriller, and Morash is one of them.
In fact, he says the overtime victory is reminiscent of other memorable regular season wins for other New York teams that went on to win it all.
"You know what [Sunday] was? It was a lot like one of the record-setting walk-off wins in '09 that followed the celebratory cream pies with the Yankees," Morash said. "That was Victor Cruz going 99 yards versus the Jets in 2011.
"I am telling you, go look back at some of the recent champions - well, they're not so recent anymore that we've had - they all that that moment. This is Victor Cruz going 99 yards."
Those moments for the Yankees and Giants, respectively, propelled them to titles, the last two in the city in of the four major sports. Morash says Sunday's outdoor win can be that for the Rangers, and one that fans look back on come June.
"I'm just telling you," Morash said. "There's a singular moment."
