Sunday morning’s Sports Edge focused on the inherent concerns that HS coaches face when they use the off-season to coach their HS players on outside teams – and get paid for it.
On one hand, the coaches are to be applauded to want to help improve their school’s players. But on the other hand, there’s always the lingering worry about an inherent conflict of interest and coaches then showing favoritism to those kids who pay to play for them.
