Sal: Roger Goodell 'screwed' New York football fans with holiday scheduling

The NFL schedules have been released, and both the Jets and Giants are stacked with primetime games this season, including a few holiday kickoffs.

Gang Green is set to play the first ever Black Friday game, while the Giants are taking on the Eagles on Christmas Day.

Sal Licata isn't happy about it.

"I don't want any of them," Sal said. "I'm not watching one of them.

"Not only does [Roger] Goodell screw me again, he puts a game on Christmas that involves the Giants. Not only are their three games on Christmas, one of them involves the Giants, which I have to watch, but he puts the Jets on Black Friday, 3:00? If it were 8:00 at night, I'd be fine, but 3:00 in the middle of the afternoon? What good is that? Everybody is home at 7 or 8, why wouldn't you make that a primetime game?"

Evan had the same argument earlier in the week, that family obligations are going to make it difficult to commit three-plus hours to watching the game, and simply moving the kickoffs to nighttime seemed like an easy solution, rather than smack in the middle of the day.

"I can't tell my wife 'Oh honey, sorry, on thanksgiving I have three football games to watch, then on Black Friday there's a game at 3:00," Sal said. "It just doesn't end.

"I can't dedicate all day Sunday to football, then say Thursday is half family, half football, and then Black Friday."
