Rutgers’ Ron Harper Jr. was not selected in the 2022 NBA Draft, but it didn’t take long for the second-generation star to find an NBA home.

Per NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Harper Jr. has signed a two-way deal with the Toronto Raptors, and will likely start his career with the 905 Raptors G-League affiliate.
Harper Jr. was Rutgers’ leading scorer last season, averaging 15.8 points per game to go with 5.9 rebounds, and he was a Second Team All Big-Ten selection and Honorable Mention AP All-American – the highest conference and All-American honors a Scarlet Knight has received since Quincy Douby in 2005-06.
Over four years in Piscataway, Harper Jr. started 108 of 121 games played and averaged 12.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
The Franklin Lakes, N.J., native and Don Bosco Prep alum is, of course, the son of Ron Harper, who spent 15 seasons in the NBA and won five NBA titles with Phil Jackson – three with Chicago in 1996-98 and two with the Lakers in 2000-01.
