Sal & Jerry's Moment of the Day: Enjoy That Free Parking

The remnants of Hurricane Ida decimated New York City and surrounding areas on Wednesday night into Thursday morning, and our own Chris Lopresti was on the receiving end of Mother Nature's might in Thursday's Moment of the Day.

Like many in the sports radio business, Lopresti's less-than-normal work hours meant a later departure time, and he was quickly hit with the incoming store as he made his way out to his car. But he initially thought he would be safe.

"I had the umbrella thinking 'OK, I'll be alright,'" C-Lo said.

Of course, he wasn't, as the storm was fierce and laid heavy damage to the city throughout the night.

"Forget a storm, it's just windy out there to begin with," C-Lo said. "I thought the thing was gonna snap in half and I was gonna get shards of umbrella in my eye."

C-Lo is reminded of the severity of the storm with every squishy step he takes on Thursday.

"My shoes are still damp," C-Lo said.
