With the Chiefs winning another Super Bowl, many football fans are rightfully singing the praises of Patrick Mahomes as one of the best quarterbacks of all time.
But Sal wants to know where the love is for Andy Reid.
“He will be now, but he should be already talked about as one of the great head coaches,” Sal said. “We talk about Belichick, Parcells…Andy Reid did it with two different franchises. Got to a Super Bowl with one, and won multiple titles with another.
“Everything changed for the Kansas City Chiefs as a franchise the day they hired Andy Reid.”
So, as the Jets continue on with Robert Saleh, Sal says teams need to realize how important it is to have a great head coach on the sidelines, even if a team is already armed with an all-time great at quarterback.
“When you have the opportunity to get a head coach like that, you do it,” Sal said. “He changed the entire fortunes of the Kansas City Chiefs franchise.”
