Desus and Mero, the popular Showtime show, came to an unexpected end recently without much explanation from the hosts or the network, but the Kid Mero joined Keith McPherson on Monday night to talk about the end of an era.
"It's just natural progression, man…it's Hollywood, baby," the Kid Mero said. "You develop strengths and things you want to explore and do, and things come through naturally…don't be sad that it's gone, be sad that you experienced it."
Multiple reports indicate that the breakup was linked to a difference in management, but the Kid Mero was mainly focused on praising his co-host, what the two had done together, and acknowledging that all good things must come to an end, even if the show's dedicated fanbase was far from ready for that.
"Everybody grows man…we've been a duo for a long time, I love everything he's done, and it's just natural," he said. "My life, my worldview, things I have going on, and he has his. Instead of just saying, 'Yo, we're only gonna do this one thing,' let's break out, let's see what we do as individuals."
