With LeBron James becoming the NBA’s all-time scoring leader late Tuesday night, the door was once again opened to reignite the debate over who is the greatest of all time.

MJ or LeBron? The conversation has gone on forever, but Tiki and Tierney took it a step further during Wednesday’s show, instead debating who the greatest of all time is in all four major sports.

There were two unanimous picks, both coming in the NBA and NHL.

“NHL is [Wayne] Gretzky,” BT said. “Let’s not waste time.”

As for basketball, neither host went with the new scoring king, as both went with Michael Jordan. In the NFL, there were three names thrown out, with Tiki having one clear pick.

“Walter Payton,” Tiki said. “He is the greatest, and my favorite.
Walter is the man.”

BT countered with Jerry Rice and Lawrence Taylor, with his pick being a coin flip between the two. As for baseball, both tried to stick with players they have seen in their lifetime, though if it was overall, there were two clear picks.

“Baseball is either Babe Ruth or Willie Mays,” BT said. “But I want to at least give you a guy that I saw. For me, it’s gotta be Ken Griffey Jr…you talk about just beautiful art, chasing a ball down in the outfield, the swing, it’s Griffey.”

As for Tiki, putting asterisks aside, there was another clear answer.

“The best that I saw? I don’t want to say the steroid era guys, but it was [Barry] Bonds,” Tiki said. “If he got a pitch to hit, he hit it out of the park.”
