UFC lightweight Vinc Pichel thinks Conor McGregor’s fighting career is done.

Or, if McGregor tries to return to the octagon, it will be a short and painful stay.

Pichel joined the latest episode of The Fight Fan and talked about McGregor’s brutal leg injury that he suffered against Dustin Poirier, and with McGregor needing a rod put into his leg to help repair the horrific July injury, he now has a target of vulnerability that will never allow him to be the same again.

“He’s not coming back,” Pichel said. “There’s no way. He comes back with that rod in his leg, he’s gonna pay for it. Guys are gonna target that thing.”

McGregor has continued to post videos on social media of him working out his upper body and staying in shape for a return, and UFC president Dana White has said that he and Poirier would meet in the octagon again after McGregor’s leg broke in their third fight. McGregor is aiming for a return next year, but Pichel doesn’t see it going well given the nature of the injury.

“If I were fighting him, I would just throw leg kicks,” Pichel said. “It’s gonna hurt Conor a hell of a lot more than it hurts me, even if Conor checks it, it’s still gonna hurt him so bad, he has no idea.

“To me, that’s low-hanging fruit right there. if I know a guy I’m fighting has a rod in his leg, I’m kicking the s--t out of that leg. You best believe I’m breaking that leg again.”

Former MMA fighter Chad George also joined the show, and Pete Hoffman previews the upcoming Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley bought. You can listen to the full episode below!
