Tuesday, September 5, 2017. That was the last day Craig Carton was on-air in the morning slot on WFAN, as he was arrested the next day and Boomer Esiason opened what was, nominally, one of the final editions of Boomer & Carton announcing that "numbnuts is not here."
Three years and two months later, Craig returned officially last November, and on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 - 3 years, 7 months, and 1 day after he last signed off at 10 AM - Craiggy returned to the morning slot, joining Jerry Recco to fill in for Boomer & Gio as they both took a day off.
A triumphant return for Craig, who did four hours with Jerry before a four-hour break and then four hours with Evan Roberts in his normal afternoon slot (2-6 p.m., taking off early for Yankees coverage) - and we wanted to commemorate it by giving you the entirety of Craig's open.
