WATCH: Rangers Stanley Cup fever overtakes Yankee Stadium

There was plenty to celebrate at Yankee Stadium on Friday night, between Aaron Judge homering during a four-hit game on his bobblehead night, and Gerrit Cole flirting with a perfect game with two outs in the seventh inning.

But the loudest ovation might have been for what was unfolding a few miles away at Madison Square Garden.

The Rangers were taking on the Lightning in game two of the Eastern Conference Final while the Yanks were beating up on the Tigers, and Yankee Stadium was keeping the capacity crowd updated throughout the night, showing the game on the jumbotron in between innings.

The game was playing when the Rangers took a 2-1 lead, which proved to be the game-winning goal in an eventual 3-2 win, and the crowd in the Bronx went wild, chanting along to the Rangers' goal song while the Yanks got ready to resume action on the field.

Both teams went on to win, so it was a good night in the Big Apple.
