Isiah Kiner-Falefa on Taijuan Walker pickoff: 'Best move I've ever seen'

Having just watched their 2-0 lead vanish into a 4-2 deficit after the first inning, the Yankees were working on another rally against Taijuan Walker in the top of the second, putting runners at the corners with one man out.

But that rally was quickly erased when Isiah Kiner-Falefa was picked off at first base, just before Jose Trevino ripped a line drive right back to Walker to hold the Bombers scoreless in the second.

"That was honestly just the best move I've ever seen," Kiner-Falefa said after the Yankees' 6-3 loss.

Walker's pickoff move was a point of emphasis in the team's pregame talks, but even still, Kiner-Falefa was caught off guard, spoiling a chance for the Yanks to answer right back and potentially take back momentum.

"We were told before the game that he had a good move, but yeah, that was just the fastest move," Kiner-Falefa said.

"I was ready to go back, just a little too slow. Next time I get on base when he's pitching, I'll be ready for a move like that. But that was the fastest move I've ever seen."
