The Yankees and Mets have released their revised Spring Training schedules, now that MLB has grouped the Grapefruit League teams into three geographically-based pods.
The Mets will be in a pod with the other four East Coast teams – the Astros, Cardinals, Marlins and Nationals – and will play 24 games between March 1 and 29. Their openers will be 3/1 at the Marlins and then 3/2 vs. the Astros at Digital Domain Park, and they will finish their home slate against the Astros on 3/27 before two road games at the Marlins and Cardinals to complete the spring.
As for the Yankees, they are in an upper West Coast pod with the Blue Jays, Orioles, Phillies, Pirates, and Tigers, and will play 28 games between February 28 and March 29. Both their opener and spring finale will be at Steinbrenner Field, the former against the Blue Jays and the latter against the Tigers.
