Aaron Boone expected to be back as Yankees manager next season: Report

The Yankees have yet to execute their offseason audit, but they reportedly have already decided on the fate of their manager.

According to Andy Martino of SNY, Aaron Boone is expected to be retained for what will be the final year of his contract, as members of the team, and the organization, see Boone as “part of the solution, not the problem.”

Boone just completed his sixth year as Yankees manager, and his tenure began with consecutive 100-win seasons. But he is still looking to advance further in the playoffs that his predecessor, Joe Girardi, did in his final year as manager.

Many fans wanted a change in the dugout after an 82-80 season this year, the franchise’s worst record in over 30 years. But it appears Boone will be returning after he received a glowing vote of confidence from Aaron Judge.
