Brandon Tierney reveres the storied history of New York sports and the superstar athletes that have made their impact on the City, but he is now convinced that there may not be another New York athlete, in any sport, who boasted a more impressive single season than Aaron Judge in 2022.
“How about the best season by any other athlete that we’ve ever seen in this City?” BT said.
“If you’re a bit of an old timer, the Willis Reeds, Clyde Fraziers, Mark Messiers, LT, A-Rod, Mantle, Michal Strahan, Messier guaranteeing things, Brodeur between the pipes, Mariano, Jeter, even peak Gooden. None of them have done what Mr. Aaron Judge has done so far this season.”
Judge is certainly making his case for that honor, as he is on the cusp of the American League single season home run record, the Triple Crown, and a potential MVP award at the end of it.
