Andrew McCutchen is officially headed to the Bronx.

The Yankees announced Friday they have acquired the five-time All-Star outfielder from the San Francisco Giants for two prospects: 23-year-old infielder Abiatal Avelino and 20-year-old right-handed pitcher Juan De Paula.

New York also said cash considerations are part of the deal. WFAN baseball insider Ken Rosenthal reported that the Giants have agreed to pay half of the $2.4 million McCutchen is owed for the rest of this season.

A longtime Pittsburgh Pirate and 2013 National League MVP, McCutchen, 31, was traded to San Francisco in January and is hitting .255 with 15 homers and 55 RBIs this season. McCutchen is in the final year of the six-year, $51.5 million contract he signed in March 2012.

McCutchen will provide more depth in the outfield for the Yankees, who have been without Aaron Judge (fractured wrist) and Clint Frazier (concussion) for more than a month.

Avelino, the 23rd-ranked prospect in the Yankees organization, according to MLB.com, is hitting .287 with 15 home runs between Double-A and Triple-A this season.

In 10 appearances (nine starts) this season with Single-A Staten Island, De Paula, the Yankees' No. 26 prospect, was 2-2 with a 1.71 ERA.
