Chad Green is reportedly heading to a division rival.
According to Shi Davidi of Sportsnet, the former Yankees reliever is signing a two-year deal with the Blue Jays worth $8.5 million, and the deal includes options in 2025 and 2026.

Green, one of the most valuable relievers in the league since breaking out in 2017, saw his 2022 season end after just 15 innings of work after he needed Tommy John surgery. Aside from last season, he had been durable and reliable for the Yanks, pitching to a 2.96 ERA in 338 innings of work since 2017, when he was one of the mainstays of a loaded bullpen that helped New York to the ALCS.
Green’s relief in the first inning of the 2017 Wild Card Game played a major role in settling the game down and allowing the Bombers to come back and win the game, and eventually go on a run to game seven of the ALCS.
