Boomer & Gio: Aaron Judge struggles a typical slump or sign of life after toe injury?

Boomer and Gio discussed Aaron Judge’s slow start to the season after an 0-for-4 night on Tuesday, but neither are concerned about the Yankee slugger just weeks into the season.

“I personally don’t see much different than prior to his injury last year. He’s still playing the outfield and playing great defense,” Boomer said. “Baseball is a timing thing. They gotta get into a groove, and he just hasn’t found it yet. He will find it, and when he finds it, it’s gonna be like six weeks of just home run after home run, hard-hit ball after hard-hit ball, and we’ll see the true baseball player that he is.”

Gio agreed, and doesn’t believe any alarms need to be sounded about Judge, and expects him to turn it around and become the force he has always been in the Yankee lineup.

“I know there’s gotta be some concern about him because he’s coming off that injury,” Gio said. “I just think this is a slow start. I don’t think you’re seeing him deteriorating.
I think it’s just a slow start. I’m not concerned about him.”
