Boomer: Idea that Yankees front office isn't pushing hard to win is 'Total BS'

Boomer has heard the criticism of Brian Cashman and Hal Steinbrenner, and the idea that they don’t do enough to try and bring a championship back to the Bronx.

Simply put, he doesn’t buy any of it.

“It’s total BS. Maybe it’s because they’re not spending as much money as the Dodgers or Mets, and that’s what everybody else is comparing the Yankees to,” Boomer said. “But how many World Series do the Dodgers have after spending God knows how much money?”

The Yankees added a superstar in Juan Soto to start the season, and have other superstars like Aaron Judge and Gerrit Cole signed to monster deals. Their payroll is hovering around $300 million, and Boomer doesn’t see that as an organization that isn’t actively trying to win a title.

“It’s still a long road before you can get there,” Boomer said. “I know Yankee fans get frustrated at times, especially with certain players, but they’re built to win now. They are.”
