Boomer: 'Don't hear anybody bitching and complaining about Brian Cashman these days'

The Yankees scored 10 runs for the third straight game after teeing off in Seattle on Tuesday night, creeping back to within five games of the division lead with the Rays losing to the Cubs.

Aaron Judge homered again, his 18th of the season, while Isiah Kiner-Falefa continued his torrid stretch with four hits. Add it all up, and the Bombers have the league’s best record since May 2.

Boomer is wondering where the complaints are now for the team’s general manager.

“I don’t hear anybody bitching and complaining about Brian Cashman these days,” Boomer said.
“Nobody’s calling in and complaining about Brian Cashman right now.

“They’ve won 17 of their last 25 games…they’re right there again this year.”

Gio countered that fans vent their frustrations when the Yanks inevitably fall short in October, but Boomer pointed out that teams just need to get into the dance to have a shot, like the Phillies proved in 2022.

“You gotta get to the end of the season and be in the mix in order to fail when you get there,” Boomer said.
