Boomer declared that the Astros are the best team in baseball during Wednesday’s show, and the calls came pouring in from Yankee fans defending their team’s best record.
So, Boomer seemingly declared war on them.
“They’re having a great, great season. and yet, Yankee fans are acting like a bunch of puss bags on here,” Boomer said. “They’re all like soft and cranky, and ‘Oh, the Astros aren’t better than us!’ We all know it’s going to come down to October.
“What are we arguing about, honestly?”
Boomer insists he didn’t intend to diminish the Yankees’ accomplishments this season by saying Houston was better, and that Yankee fans need to just settle down.
“People hear what they want to hear and then craft this argument in their head that what I’m saying is somehow totally disrespectful to the Yankees and Yankee fans, and I’m not trying to do that,” Boomer said. “I’m the one saying to sign Aaron Judge, I’m the one that’s lauding Brian Cashman, that says IKF and Trevino have been huge upgrades.
“The Astros are better. It’s OK. They’re better right now, that’s fine.”
