Boomer: Yankee fans should do for Aaron Judge what Phillies fans did for Trea Turner

Boomer still believes in the Yankees and their ability to climb out of a 2-0 series hole and finish as world champions, but it won’t happen unless Aaron Judge breaks out of his deep October slump.

Judge is running out of time to do that, but Boomer says he should have the full backing of the fans in the Bronx on Monday night as the Yanks prepare for a pivotal game three.

“You need to do exactly what the Philly fans did for Trea Turner,” Boomer said. “You have to support Aaron Judge.

“He’s gotten you here. He’s been a great player and a great leader.”

Boomer still believes Judge can break out, and he still believes the Yankees can come back from losing the first two games. In 1996, the Yanks lost the first two games at home and went on to beat a Braves team that many believed was on the cusp of starting a dynasty. So, Boomer says this series isn’t over yet, and the fans in attendance on Monday should act that way.

“You’re here. You still have a chance,” Boomer said. “It’s never over. How many times have my Rangers have been down 3-1 in a series and won it?”
