BT: Yankees have best team since 2009, now in 'World Series or bust' mode

Sal says the Yankees have a potential big problem on their hands in an inability to beat the best teams in the American League, but BT isn’t sweating it in the slightest bit.

In fact, he believes the Bombers have everything they need to get back to the World Series for the first time since 2009.

“I think the Yankees are the best team in the American League. I really do,” BT said. “This is absolutely the best Yankees team we’ve seen since 2009.

“Just watch them. You know that they’re good. You know that you have ‘it.’”

BT praised a starting rotation that has Clarke Schmidt, a No. 3 starter on a championship team in the eyes of BT, an electric rookie in Luis Gil, and a reigning Cy Young winner on his way back. He says all the questions of the offseason have been answered favorably so far, as the bullpen has been strong, Rodon has rebounded, Alex Verdugo has more than stabilized left field, Juan Soto is thriving in New York, and Aaron Judge is back to hitting like an MVP. With all of that in tow, and likely more help on the way, BT says there’s no reason to believe these Yankees can’t win it all.

“The Yankees have everything they need,” BT said. “Now get healthy, get Cole back, add [at the trade deadline], see what you have in [Jasson] Dominguez when he comes back…it’s go time.

“The questions I wasn’t sure about have been answered. It is World Series or bust.”
