BT goes off on 'terrible, horrendous' Brian Cashman for faulty roster construction

As the Yankees’ high-priced veterans continue to struggle without Aaron Judge, BT had to go off on another Brian Cashman rant for putting together such a faulty lineup despite having one of the highest payrolls in baseball.

“Everyone in that lineup is batting between .190 and .230. The profiles of the players on this team with a $275 million payroll,” BT said. “I mean…the Yankees are built around one guy. One! This is good if you’re the Lakers and that guy is LeBron. This is not good if it’s baseball.

“Brian Cashman is terrible, man. Brian Cashman has done a horrendous job.”

The Yankees GM, the longest tenured GM in the league, recently signed another extension, much to BT’s dismay, and he doesn’t expect the team to make the next step with Cashman at the helm, as he failed to put together a winning team around Judge this offseason, as their performance without Judge has proven.

“Donaldson, he’s gonna run into some fastballs, but he’s pretty much done,” BT said. “IKF, I love his hustle and appreciate his scrap, but he’s a limited player. I’ve got respect for Rizzo. Not a great, but a legitimately solid baseball career. He’s banged up, he’s 34, he’s not young.

“All these other guys are washed…or simply being put in a position where they’re just not good enough relative to their peers, the Orioles, the Rays, the good teams in the American League. It’s unfair to expect more.”
