BT comes back around on 2024 Yankees, says Brian Cashman didn't build a good enough team

BT came into the 2024 season convinced that Brian Cashman did not do enough to improve the Yankees in the offseason, but after watching Juan Soto thrive and the Yanks race out to the most wins in baseball, he changed his tune.

Now, after watching the Orioles knock the Bombers around once again, he is going back to his original stance, realizing he was right all along.

“Brian Cashman did not build a good enough team,” BT said.

“This is not an overreaction to getting their asses handed to them by the Orioles…yeah, the Yankees are good because their two best players are amazing. But show me a team that’s built properly, where as we head into July, you have to address first base, second base, third base, catcher, closer, and another high-leverage arm in the bullpen.”

The Yankees will certainly be aggressive at the trade deadline, but BT says there are far more holes than there should have been after the roster was constructed over the winter, and that blame falls on the general manager.

“I was initially right, and because Soto was so amazing and Verdugo has done well, I said I was wrong,” BT said. “I’m here to tell everybody that, ultimately, I was right. Brian Cashman did not build the right team.”
