C-Mac concerned Aaron Judge is playing through injury
Aaron Judge went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts on Wednesday night, and flied out to end the game when the Yankees had a chance to come back and take the series finale against the Marlins.
C-Mac isn’t panicking about Judge in terms of his .178 batting average to begin the season, but he does have concerns that the Yankees slugger may not be healthy.
“I would argue probably the worst 12-game stretch we’ve ever seen him in,” C-Mac said. “I’m not concerned if he’s off. I’m concerned that he’s playing through something.
“Prior to this, the Yankees wouldn’t let him play through something, but it feels different this year. He’s gotten more power than ever before. He’s talked himself about the importance to start the year…and I wouldn’t be surprised if Aaron Judge is playing through something.”
Judge sat during spring training with what Aaron Boone described as “mid spring beat-up,” leading to an MRI on his abs. but Judge returned and has been a fixture in the lineup since the season began. C-Mac wonders if whatever ailed Judge in spring training is still there, and he is trying to play through it.
“I’m not concerned he won’t get it going,” C-Mac said. “I’m concerned he’s banged up.”
