An angry Yankee fan called into C-Mac’s show Friday morning, declaring that Yankee fans need to stop going to games to protest the struggling team and its faulty roster construction.
That was where C-Mac drew the line.
“Why go to the ballpark? Because they won 99 games last year!” C-Mac said. “Are you embarrassed to be a Yankee fan? Because I’ll tell you right now, if you’re embarrassed to be a Yankee fan, go be another fan then, see how it goes for you.
“This is where it goes too far. They haven’t done a good enough job to win the World Series, and this year has been terrible and an embarrassment, it’s one year in the last 30! A guy on Twitter sent me an article with a fan with a bag over their head. If you think Yankee fans should be wearing bags on their heads, we completely disagree.”
Bags over heads for a team that has been in the ALCS three times since 2017, and hasn’t missed the playoffs since 1993? That’s way too far for C-Mac.
“They are in the hunt every single year,” C-Mac said. “They win 90 games every single year. I’m not throwing parades for them, but bags over my heads like they’re the Cleveland Browns?
“I’m as disappointed as anyone, but there are limits.”
