Steve in Stamford felt C-Mac’s wrath after declaring that fans should boycott the Yankees if they don’t sign Blake Snell.

“I completely, and utterly, and with every fiber of my being, disagree with you that you should not go to the games because they might stop short at Blake Snell,” C-Mac said. They traded for Jan Soto. The payroll is now the second or third highest in all of baseball…they went out and got Juan Soto, they added Verdugo, they spent a ton of money.

“Not to go to the games? To be that frustrated? I’m talking about the Giants and Saquon Barkley, they have seasons that are dead by October. The Yankees, for the last 28 years, give you a season until he very end, and 99 percent of the time give you a postseason run. And you’re so frustrated that they won’t go out and get Blake Snell, that you need to boycott the games? It’s ridiculous!”

Steve stood by his declaration, so C-Mac kept it going.

“In 2019, they were two games short of the World Series, and what did they do? They went out and paid the biggest contract to a starting pitcher, and stole the ace from the team that beat them!” C-Mac said. “They went out last year and spent $360 million to keep their captain and best player, and then went out and paid $162 million to Rodon…stop with this that they don’t care about winning.”
