C-Mac is praying for a Yankees/Astros rematch in playoffs: 'I want revenge'

As C-Mac was going over potential MLB playoff matchups with the postseason just over two months away, he salivated at the possibility of the Yankees meeting a familiar foe on a hopeful run to the World Series.

C-Mac wants another shot at the Astros.

“Houston did do me the favor. I called them out, I threatened them, I told them I wanted to see them in the playoffs because the Yankees owed them revenge,” C-Mac said. “And I’m still on that.

“Call me a jinx like Licata, I don’t care. I want Yankees/Astros so bad, I can taste it. I want revenge.”

Houston was scuffling to start the season, which began by being swept by the Yanks at home. But they have turned things around, added some pieces at the deadline, and look poised to get back into the playoffs, where they have eliminated the Yankees four times since 2015, the last three coming in the ALCS. Regardless of the new faces on both sides, the team names are the same, and C-Mac wants blood.

“I don’t want it as much as a championship, don’t get me wrong,” C-Mac said. “But I want revenge. Give me Yankees/Astros right now. I would love it.”
