The Yankees, coming off one of their worst losses of the season, did not have C-Mac in a good mood during Monday morning’s show.
So, C-Mac began the show by going off on just how ugly things have gotten for the Bombers after losing a series to a Rockies team that seems destined for 100 losses this season.
“The Yankees absolutely embarrassed themselves in Colorado,” C-Mac said. “[Giancarlo] Stanton hits a home run the first at-bat out of the All-Star break, and they’re showing Sean Casey on TV…maybe at the start of the second half this team can get rolling, Judge is taking BP and running on the field, maybe he can be back in 10 days…instead, they crap all over themselves.”
The Yankee bullpen blew two two-run leads in Sunday’s series finale, while the offense failed to muster much of anything against a putrid Rockies starting rotation, only generating most of their offense when Colorado was floundering in the field with defensive miscues. Add it all up, and it isn’t a pretty sight watching Yankees baseball right now.
“They are just an awful team,” C-Mac said. “They are a bad baseball team right now. Bad baseball teams find ways to lose, and what they did in this series was embarrassing.
“We’re watching a team fall apart before our very eyes.”
