C-Mac doesn't want to hear Yankee fans complain about Giancarlo Stanton ever again

Giancarlo Stanton was the hero for the Yankees in game three, driving in two of the team’s three runs in a 3-2 win to put the Bombers on the brink of advancing to the ALCS.

The big blow from Stanton was a game-winning solo home run in the eighth inning, a no-doubt blast that traveled 417 feet and saved the Yanks from a do-or-die game on the road in game four.

For Stanton, it was his latest big playoff moment, as he has unquestionably been New York’s most productive postseason performer over the last five years. For C-Mac, it was more evidence that the much-maligned slugger should hear no more complaints from Yankee fans.

“He’s always stood there, through the boos and struggles and injuries, has stood in there and answered every question,” C-Mac said. “He has handled the big acquisition, the big contract and expectations, and failing with them, better than everyone ever. With the Yankees, nobody has handled it as gracefully and as well.”

While Stanton thrives in October, Aaron Judge has heard plenty of criticism for his chronic October struggles despite being the best hitter in baseball during the regular season. C-Mac says, if that’s how Judge is treated, then Stanton better hear nothing but praise.

“If that’s how we’re gonna treat the postseason, and knock down our hero and best player and MVP and captain because he’s struggled for three games…then I don’t want to hear another freaking word about Giancarlo Stanton,” C-Mac said. “I never want to hear another complaint about how slow he is, that he’s always hurt, that his contract is an albatross. I never want to hear another complaint, because if it’s all about October, this guy is by far their most clutch player.”
