C-Mac: This Aaron Judge tear not seen since early 2000s Barry Bonds

The Yankees came oh-so-close to taking the series from the Dodgers, as the opening game went to extra innings, but they settled for salvaging one game on Sunday thanks in part to Aaron Judge cranking a double and his 24th home run of the season.

Juan Soto was not in the lineup, but C-Mac says there is still plenty of reason to believe the Yanks can beat a team like Los Angeles because Judge is still in the fold.

“Except for the fact that they have the best player on the planet still playing and still healthy,” C-Mac said.

“The man who carries this team, the most important figure on this team, the best player in baseball…Aaron Judge is at a point right now where he is the best - you’d have to go back to Barry Bonds in the early 2000s to find a better baseball player than what you’re seeing right now.”

Judge slugged three home runs in the series, and logged multi-hit games in each game of the three-game set. He is now batting .305 with a 1.139 OPS, which C-Mac says confirms that he is still the best in baseball.

“He is just an out-and-out beast,” C-Mac said.
