Aaron Judge was rung up on a low strike call on Tuesday night, which he clearly took exception to after the call was made.
It was the continuation of a frustrating trend that has followed Judge since he broke into the league, and C-Mac is sick of it.
“The most strike calls on pitches over the plate but below the strike zone since 2017…there have been 160 strikes called on Aaron Judge that are below the strike zone,” C-Mac said. “That’s the most in baseball. The next most is Josh Bell at 97. Over 60 more than anybody else.
“It’s almost 90 more than Giancarlo Stanton, and they’re the same height!”
C-Mac is sick of hearing about Judge’s height making it tough for umpires behind the plate, and says they need to make the adjustment quickly and stop taking the bat out of Judge’s hands.
“It was ridiculous. It was an atrocious call,” C-Mac said. “I don’t understand how this continuously happens to him.
“I want to know why we can’t fix this, and why this isn’t a talking point to umpires.”
